Field Service Technician – Certified
NICET ETT Level II or equivalent.

SI Testing, a pioneer in the field of preventive maintenance and electrical testing for over 30 years, is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician. This crucial role will be based in Southern California. Work will be throughout all of Southern California with some out-of-area or state projects.

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in our team by ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems for a diverse clientele from office buildings to data centers, retail, entertainment, apartments, and stadiums.

Your Pay: $90,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year (Dependent on experience)

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct comprehensive testing and maintenance for electrical power distribution systems.
• Acceptance testing.
• Execute specific tests on instrument transformers, power transformers, and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches; test low and medium-voltage circuit breakers and associated distribution equipment.
• Install, commission, test and maintain protective relaying equipment.
• Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance activities for assigned projects, meeting timelines and customer specifications.
• Start up, modify, and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and controllers.
• Accurately track and submit project reports within designated deadlines.
• Provide technical support to customers via calls.
• Adhere to all company policies, including quality, health, and safety guidelines.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing, & repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and similar equipment.
• High school diploma or GED
• Comprehensive understanding and ability to interpret detailed electrical schematics & drawings.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
• Proficiency in email, internet use, data entry, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) is essential.
• NETA/NICET training (ETT Level II or higher) in electrical equipment testing. (Required)
• OSHA 10/30 hour and NFPA 70-E trained. (Required)

Physical Demands & Requirements:

• Must be able to crawl, climb, stand, and lift 75 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Must be available for regular and overnight domestic travel.
